Itinerary

Tour Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival / Cairo

When you arrive at Cairo International Airport, our representative will welcome and help you during the formalities of disembarkation. Transfer by our modern A/C vehicle to the hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 2. Cairo - Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx - Egyptian Museum

During morning, you will enjoy breakfast at hotel. We will start discover the most important places in Cairo by visiting the Pyramids of Giza: Khufu, Khafra, and Menkaure. On Giza Plateau, you will explore how the ancient Egyptians built the pyramids. You will ascend to the Panoramic point to take stunning pictures. Furthermore, we will visit the So-called Valley Temple and the Great Sphinx. It is the huge guardian Colossus of the Pyramids complex. Lunch will be in a local restaurant. Then, we will continue to visit the Egyptian Museum in the well-known Square Midan El Tahrir. It is a opportunity to gaze to the wonderful of thousands of Ancient Egyptian Antiquities. Return back to the hotel. Overnight in Cairo. (Breakfast + Lunch)

Day 3. Cairo - Memphis - Sakkara

Enjoy a Full day tour visiting Memphis and Sakkara . Pick up from your hotel in Cairo. You will be driven to Sakkara which is 35 km far from Cairo. You will start with the Open Air Museum in the Memphis Area. Memphis was the ancient capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom. In the Open-Air Museum of Memphis, you can find a limestone colossus of King Ramses II. You will wonder about the Alabaster Sphinx. Moreover, you will see many antiquities, sarcophagus, statues of deities and architectural elements from the ancient times. Following, you will head off to the Plateau of Sakkara, 7 km from Memphis. You will visit the famous Complex of king Zoser, especially the Step Pyramid from the 3rd dynasty. The Step Pyramid of Sakkara is considered the first pyramid of stone built in ancient time. The Pyramid in Sakkara is 60 m. high. It consists of 6 large steps. Later, you will visit two Mastabas of the nobles from the Period of Sakkara. The Mastabas are famous for its beautiful decorations and scenes: Mastaba of Idut and Mastaba of Petahop You will have a good opportunity to visit the interior of the Pyramid of king Unas. Finally, you will visit the elegant Museum of Imhotep. It houses many varieties of Antiquities discovered in Sakkara Area. Lunch at a local restaurant (Beverages are extra). Return back to the hotel. Overnight in Cairo. (Breakfast + Lunch)

Day 4. Cairo – Alexandria – Cairo

Full day: Alexandria. In the morning, travel by private modern coach to Alexandria (221 km). Alexandria is the second most important city in Egypt, pearl of the Mediterranean Sea. Upon arrival, we will visit The Pompey Pillar and the Amphitheater of Alexandria of the third century during the Roman empire. Following, you will visit Catacombs of kom el shoqafa. and National Museum of Alexandria, housed a restored modern Italian- style palace with fascinating collections of Artifacts of ancient Egyptian times; Pharaonic, Hellenistic and Greco-Roman, medieval and modern art.. Lunch at a typical restaurant (Beverages are extra). Later, you will visit the Fortress of Quitbai, built on the foundation of the Lighthouse of Alexandria. Later, you will have opportunity to walk on the Stanley Bridge. Return back to hotel at Cairo. Overnight in Cairo. (Breakfast + Lunch)

Day 5. Sunday - Cairo – Coptic and Islamic Cairo with Khan El Khalili Bazar

Breakfast in the morning. Full Day tour (8 hours) to discover Coptic and Islamic Cairo. You will start by visiting the Coptic Christian Churches in Old Cairo District. Visit to the amazing Hanging Church of the Virgin Mary, which was built over two towers of an ancient Roman fortress in the 4th century and renovated several times later. Continue to visit the Church of St. Sergius known as Abu Serga Church by the locals, built on top of the Grotto of the Holy Family. Lunch at a local restaurant (Beverages are extra). Then after you will visit the Saladin Citadel, which played a significant role of the political life specially during the Ayyubid and Mameluke Periods and was considered the Rule Center for more than 700 years. It was built by Salah Al-Din in the Ayyubid Dynasty to fortify Cairo against the crusaders with several gates. The citadel is famous for the Mosque of Muhammad Ali that has magnificent design and decoration; besides several buildings show the architecture of Ottoman influence. Later you will visit Al Azhar Mosque and Khan El-Khalili Bazar. Overnight in Cairo. (Breakfast + Lunch)

Day 6. Cairo

After breakfast, check out from hotel. You will be transferred to Cairo International Airport for embarkation on your international flight. (Breakfast)
